Most Urogynecologists will spend less than 10 minutes in your exam room.

You wait six months for this appointment, jumping through referral hoops and dealing with insurance – only to leave with more questions than you started with.

While prolapse affects millions of women worldwide, it’s a complex condition that can look very different for each individual. Figuring out what you should do to fix your symptoms isn’t black and white..

That’s why having a foundational understanding of prolapse is crucial.

The medical terminology is confusing, treatment options feel vague and unclear, and in 2025, self-advocacy is a MUST.

And let’s not forget how hard it is to ask for clarification when you’re wearing a hastily-tied gown and no underwear. If you’ve ever left an appointment kicking yourself for not speaking up about something, give yourself a little grace – it’s not exactly an inviting environment.

We can’t give you answers over the Internet about your personal situation, but we CAN give you the foundational information you need to get those answers.

INTRODUCING...

THE PROLAPSE 101 MASTERCLASS

A one hour, information-packed class you can watch in the privacy of your own home.

Pause it to take notes, screenshot a slide (we have a few visuals), and rewatch it as needed:

  • Familiarize yourself with prolapse terminology.
  • Understand what's happening in your body.
  • Become aware of the many treatment options out there.

You don't have to live the rest of your life with these symptoms – there IS hope. We can equip you with the knowledge you need to better advocate for yourself.

An anatomy refresh:

How your organs are supposed to sit inside your pelvis and what’s physically happening with a prolapse.

Terminology overview:

There are seven different types of prolapse based on which organ is falling and where. You don’t need to make flashcards and start memorizing – but being familiar with these medical names will make them less overwhelming in a clinical setting.

Common interventions:

Prolapse is progressive, meaning it’ll continue to get worse without intervention. We explain what is commonly recommended to women from Stage 1 (the earliest form) to Stage 4 (the most progressed). You’ll walk away with a better understanding of your options, the questions you may want to ask if recommended for surgery, and what to expect from pelvic floor PT.

I'm Ready!
Information you can trust, delivered with empathy and respect.

More thorough than Wikipedia, less dense than a medical journal, more reliable than Reddit user capricorn2938’s nightmare retelling.

This isn’t a cutesy condition, you don’t need someone dressed up in a vagina costume making light of it. At the same time, most women with prolapse don’t have an MD – and you shouldn’t need one to understand what’s happening in your body. We draw from our own stories and experiences to present facts in a more memorable way.

Yes please!

Knowing what to expect helps: you can stay calm, ask your questions, and push for more.

It’s normal to want to get the heck out of that office – but this is your time. Knowing what’s going to happen and what might be said will help you advocate for yourself confidently and effectively.

11 years ago, Jenn found herself standing over her doctor, arms hugging her chest, as he diagnosed her with prolapse.

She wasn’t expecting that type of exam. Exposed, vulnerable – scared of her symptoms and terrified of treatment.

Jenn was lucky. She had a compassionate, knowledgeable doctor and a personal background primed for self-advocacy. And self-advocate she did! Jenn dove into anything and everything she could find on prolapse. She’s spent hours Googling, dissecting medical journals, interviewing professionals, and trying different types of care for herself.

For us, this isn't just professional – it's personal, too.

Jenn’s professional career shifted from cardiac rehab and fitness programing to supporting women with pelvic floor issues, eventually launching a new business with her Physical Therapist friend Christina. Together, they’ve helped hundreds of women with Stage 1 and 2 Prolapse reverse their symptoms through the Tighten Your Tinkler Signature Program. They’ve created free resources and videos about all kinds of pelvic floor problems to help women better advocate for the care they deserve.

Prolapse 101 synthesizes much of the prolapse information we’ve shared before, adds our responses to the most commonly asked questions that land in our inbox, and packages it into one easy-to-digest resource (with much better video quality than you'll see on our old YouTube channel!).
